need help to enable my fn key on my keyboard

Hello,

I have installed Mojave on my laptop and everything works fine, except that some keys on the keyboard do not work as intended, such as the Fn key. This is a Japanese keyboard layout.

Is there a guide to tackle this problem.

OK, after reading https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/330440-beginners-guide-fix-keyboard-hot-keys-functional-keys and https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-dsdt-ssdt-for-laptop-backlight-control.152659, i can get various scan codes, such as f1, f2, etc.

Someone said, on pc laptop, fn key does not generate a scan code, is that right?
If this is the case, fn key can only work with specific fn keys, but not on its own, right?
Does mac keyboard fn key sends a code on its own?
