what about the DSDT? I let it in place?

hello.. here I come again... without good news!!

I tried booting with the line :
-v npci=0x2000
and after
-v npci=0x3000

same result for the both :

((RTL81xx@0xde00xde00 : rtl8168_init_board)) NIC identified as RTL816E-VL/8111E-VL (mcfg=16)
Still waiting for root device

any others ideas for booting on Mountain Lion?

PS : on the picture (mcfg=16) is missing....

thanks

Hi guys!

I tried another line when booting :

UsekernelCache=No PCIRootUID=1 idlehalt=0 npci=0x2000 -f -v

I managed to boot on Mountain Lion... but I don't know how to fix definitely this problem..

How can I integrate this line to my .plist? is it possible?

PS : I find this line on a french site "MaconPC"... after discussing with other Mac Addicted...

After a rapid check, my USB3 are not working... do you know how I can make them work?

Hello everyone!

I tried a second line for booting :
PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes
But... it didn't work..

I managed to boot with one time with :
UsekernelCache=No PCIRootUID=1 idlehalt=0 npci=0x2000 -f -v
But it was very long.. very long.. very long to boot....

Does anyone has an idea to fix my boot problem?

thanks!

PS : is Lion easier to install than ML?

hello... thanks but don't understand everything... it's look hard to set up...
I will try...

Could you explain to me the differents steps you followed, clearly....?

I'm on 10.8 not 10.8.1...

Does anyone has another idea? a more simple one? i'm learning.....!! :)

I read the link tou gave to me... who can explain to me this lines....

0. Boot unibeast - run Terminal, run /Application/Safary.app/Contents/MacOS/Safary, download attachment to /Volumes/MacPartition/System/Library/Extensions, Command-Q Safary.
???? what do I have to download to "Volume/..../ Extensions"?

sh$ chroot /Volumes/MacPartition
???? what does that line mean? sh$? chroot?

1. Replace AppleAHCPIPort, kext and IOAHCIFamily.kext from 10.8 backup (previously patched for 10.8, from this Archive.zip).

sh$ cd /System/Library/Extensions
sh$ rm -fR /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext
sh$ rm -fR /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAHCIPort.kext
sh$ unzip Archive.zip
???? what do this lines mean? sh$ ? cd? rm?

Sorry for all this questions.. but my english level is not very good... ans I really don't understand anything to this tuto...

Thanks for help!

Oh if you're on 10.8 anyway it might not make any difference but probs no harm in trying???

Basically all you have to do is go to /System/Library/Extensions
and replace AppleAHCPIPort, kext and IOAHCIFamily.kext for the ones that he provides in the "Archive" link of the thread that other thread.

If you haven't been messing with the .plist stuff you shouldn't have to worry about the boot flags but you may need to go to
/Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
and replace

... <key>Kernel Flags</key>

<string>npci=0x3000 darkwake=0</string>

with

... <key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>darkwake=0</string>

...Mine was already like that though so I didn't have to do that.

I modified my message when you posted yours...
So, I don't have to use the terminal?
