Hi everybody,
I haven't posted in years, but I could really need some help right now.
Now that my trusted RocketRAID 2314 eSATA-card isn't supported any longer (used the Mavericks RR kexts in El Capitan), I need a replacement for it, i.e. a port multiplier ready eSATA card. According to the official HighPoint website (http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA-test/support-mojave.htm), the RocketRAID 644L should be just that and supported in Mojave, too. Furthermore, there have been reports about that card working in macOS years ago already (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/guide-rocket-640l-installation-sata-iii.1648335/).
However, I haven't had any luck getting it to work over the last few hours. I'd really appreciate your help; I'm at a loss right now. …
EDIT: The card doesn't show up in System Profiler, drives attached to it don't mount and HighPoint WebGUI can't see it either. At boot, however, its config screen shows up, so the card itself seems to be OK – as it should since it's new.
