Need drivers for Realtek USB WiFi RTL8812AU

Driver works for me on Mojave 10.14.6

Works for me on 10.13.6

Bit annoying that the driver replaces Mac Os's inbuilt Wifi frontend with it's own inferior version though.. Can anyone think of a possible way to get around this?
