Hello all,
I am looking for any expert advice regarding my plan for a x79 socket 2011 build. I am planning my build based upon the Asus x79 motherboard (p9 x79 Pro or Sabertooth (not sure which is better) your input is welcome). This will be a first time build for me and will be a challenge. My main concern is the installation, I have read other posts mention certain system functions not working correctly or may not work at all (are these still problems or am I reading old posts?). Ideally I would like a solid build with quality parts, that can run Mavericks and I am not planning to overclock. In order to help me along I am hoping you guys can tell me the most up to date information regarding these issues before I buy my parts (I don't want to get in over my head). Since I am new to the Hackintosh world I have decided to mirror a complete finished and successful/installation if they are out there. I found that this video by Bob Roche (http://rochetechnology.com) has been very helpful on the build aspects (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_7BVYZtucg) but I am still unclear on the installation. Finally, is there anybody who is running the Asus x79 without issue?
