Hello,

I have a great Hackintosh system already, but I'm looking to build a Hack Mini. I would like it to be of the Mini ITX form factor.

I need advice on what Motherboard and CPU combination will provide painless HDMI Audio (if such a thing exists).

I am going to be using this as an HTPC, and don't want to have to keep tinkering around.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,

sahilm

What is your budget?

Thanks for posting that. My budget is closer to $500 (total) as I'm going pretty cheapo on this build (just 4GB ram, using 250W PSU built into case if possible).

I'm going to seriously look into this.

Is Intel 4000 HDMI video AND AUDIO supported natively?

Yes on video, with patched AppleHDA for audio - you have to replace the file after updates if the update replaced the existing file. also need DSDT for audio over HDMI, but that is fairly easy - see http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...uide-asus-p8z77-i-i5-3570k-mountain-lion.html
IIRC, one of the patches toleda provided for the DSDT was the HDMI audio.
