Hi everyone,

I finally installed Catalina on this laptop. Although still have few issues.
First I want thanks to @NemesissLin & @saintno1997 , they provide much works on it.

Spec:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 9750H (9th Gen)
  • RAM: 8GB DDR4 *1 (will upgrade in future)
  • IGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • DGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 (disabled in hackintosh)
  • SSD1: SK Hynix 512GB NVMe SSD (factory default)
  • SSD2: Intel 600p 1TB NVMe SSD (added by myself)
  • Ethernet: No ethernet port in default
  • WIFI: Intel wireless (no support, will replace to DW1820A)
  • Audio: Realtek ALC295
  • LVDS Screen resolution: FHD

What works:
  • QE/CI with Intel UHD630
  • Battery info
  • Drive info
  • Laptop display
  • HDMI display
  • Audio works with internal speakers
  • Keyboard / Trackpad / USB Mouse
  • Camera
  • Dual boot with Win10
  • CPU Power Management
  • CPU Cooling

Not working or not sure:
  • HDMI Audio (no sound)
  • USB Type-C (not sure if work with Thunderbolt)
  • SD card slot
  • Sleep (met KP when wake)
  • Mismatched brightness keys
  • WIFI/BT (still waiting for DW1820A deliver)

Let's talk about installation. There're few points need to notice before install.
  1. Make sure you disable secure boot, VT-d, and switch SATA mode from RAID to AHCI first.

  2. If you want to use Win10 (dual boot), there're two thing you have to do.
    a. Since the Win10 installed as RAID mode, you have to re-install it by using OS recovery tool after change SATA mode.
    b. The Win10 also enabled BitLocker on its system volume. You have to disable before turn off secure boot, or you can't boot into Win10.

  3. Add "ECDV to EC" ACPI patch into config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches.

And I thought the new CPU model will also support on Catalina, but I'm wrong. Need to use VoodooTSCSync so that will not become laggy response.

That's all. I wish this thread can become the discussion about this model to install Catalina.
And below is my CLOVER archive, still thinking how to solve above problems.

I got nearly stable build for daily with have:
+ Line in work ( only internal mic bug left)
+ Type C work (thunderbolt not tested yet, only type c usb and hdmi out)
+ Sleep work
+ SD card work
+ Fn + brightness work
+ Got 1810 in cinebench R20 ( undervolted )

Thing left:
+ HDMIaudio not work (Due to hdmi patch)
+ Internal mic not work ( Cant fix when ubuntu not work too)
+ Fingerprint ( Maybe never)
+ Wifi/BT intel ( Still wait for kext)

Tested only in mojave, will upload soon when it ready

Sounds promising.
Still waiting for my DW1820A. I'm going to try few items from your build after the card arrive, perhaps it can make 7590 work better.

Updated:

My new wireless card arrived yesterday. But I realized it's a big hole.
The sub ID on this DW1820A is 0023, and part num is CN-0VW3T3. Followed few people's guide.
Unfortunately all of these approaches wasn't work, not working in system or KP when booting.

I switch to DW1560, which is from my Inspiron 7560. Guess what, it works great.
After this, I searched the internet and found that many people said DW1820A is not work so well on their build. Especially in Catalina.

So the best wireless card is still DW1560. Temperately not going to use DW1820A until it perfectly support on AirPortBrcmFixup.

After few hours test for HDMI, found 7590's HDMI is using 03 as index. According from kexts, index 03 usually together with port 06. So 0306XX00 is known settings.
The problem is about HDMI audio, tried with 08, 09, 0A pipe but all not work. still investigating a different pipe ID.

And I'm curious about how you make your Type-C working? I tried but nothing happen when I plugged my M.2 SSD external drive on it.

The HDMI patch "03040A00" has corrupted after update to latest BIOS (1.4.0).
Need correct "03060A00" to let HDMI back to work.

About HDMI audio, I believe that now it caused by audio configuration. But I have no idea about this. Wait fot other people to fix the audio injection about ALC295 on this laptop.

My old lenovo laptop has a network card (bcm94352z), I want to know if he can use it for my dell inspiron 7590.

There's no locker on WIFI card, only laptop itself.
So you can try install on DELL's.
