Native Power management (xcpm?) for Sandy Bridge EP? aka Xeon E5 1660 v1?

Xeon 1660's v1 are basically a 'better' 3960x, and are overclockable. (Geekbench, 25k ish). Compare:

1660's v1's are now very cheap (notwithstanding x79 mobo prices).

Has anyone successfully got them working, with all the finesse of sleep etc.

Yes, I've used the search tool extensively. (Particular thanks rehabman, shiloh, stinga etc). Trail went cold circa 2014...?
