Let us know. Also, what did you use to attach that material to the laptop?

Self adhesive film, should be easily sourced on fleabay... I'd skip the walnut alternative though lol it was originally made for pimping out your car interior

How exactly would you make it backlit? And if it could run off of a port (esata? or a usb?) I might give one up for backlit.

The leds are working with 3,2- 3,6 volts, so the 5v should be ok. This led strip is working with 12v but it drops down the voltage by using resistors.
Some of these strips are using one resistor for each led and some are using one resistor per three leds (they are connected in series)
So there are 2 solutions.
1st is to build our own led strips or
2nd to modify the one who has one resistor per led.
It need some skills and tools but is not impossible.
My question is where to put the led strip and if it provide some light through the keys?
Is there enough room underneeth?

Backlight??? hmmmm.....illuminate keyboard with phosphor. :p

Are we talking a light behind the keyboard?

The site that alexbigojin post is for a led strip. But where to put it?

I meant make the keys light up.
How?? Is it possible?? I do not think so. Only if there is a replacement for the keyboard.

Yeah that's what I mean, and I thought he meant he had a way. I got so excited for a second haha.
