Hello,

I just clean installed El Capitan on my machine using the Clover method:

AsRock z75 Pro3
Intel i7-2600k Unlocked CPU
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 TI 1GB
Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3 Ram - 16GB
Corsair 120Go Force3 SATA 3 SSD
Corsair HX650W AT

Everything works like a charm but my SSD and HDD are showing up as external drives on my Desktop and can be ejected from the Finder.

How can I solve this?

Many thanks for time and help

disable sata hotplug in the bios

disable sata hotplug in the bios

I don't seem to have this option. Where is it in your AsRock z77 pro4's BIOS exactly?

PS: I have attached a screenshot.

click on sata3_0/1 and disable hotplug on both drives

If that doesn't work, you can try putting this in your config.plist under KextsToPatch:

Code:
            <dict>
                <key>Comment</key>
                <string>External icons patch</string>
                <key>Find</key>
                <data>
                RXh0ZXJuYWw=
                </data>
                <key>Name</key>
                <string>AppleAHCIPort</string>
                <key>Replace</key>
                <data>
                SW50ZXJuYWw=
                </data>
            </dict>

Hello, I have the same mobo - ASRock z75 pro3 and having a hard time installing El Capitan using the default install guide. Can you point me to the guide you used to install it successfully?

i am not able to boot to the OS X installer after creating my usb using unibeast.

Thanks

- I bought this board during the summer.
- I patched the BIOS (I can't even remember why, what files and what utility I used, UEFIPatch maybe).
- Configure the BIOS options as per the UniBeast installation guide.
- Created a UniBeast with the proper options on a machine already running OS X (with Nvidia support for my build).
- Install successfully

I can send you a link to my patched BIOS (Z75PRO32.00.patched) but I can't guarantee it won't brick your board. I'm only doing this because I feel the pain. Been there! ;-)

Good luck

Thanks! I will give the patched bios a try. I did try with an older 1.80 patched bios I found on the net but still not successful.
BTW, I wanted PM you but didn't have the required 75 posts so had to hijack this thread. It's good to know that the board is compatible although it might take some work on my part.
