I wanted to share my build with you guys as it was my first ever computer build. With the help of my coworker, friend, and the Tony Mac community, I was able to get my machine up and running (but not without a fair amount of frustration). I have to say it's one of the most rewarding experiences I've had and getting everything to work feels great. I've included all the parts that I purchased with links (above) along with the Clover Configurator and MultiBeast options.

Before my build I owned a 27" Thunderbolt Display (A1407) and wanted to keep it as my monitor, so I had to purchase a Thunderbolt Card as well as a USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter. This card connects internally to the motherboard in the PCIe 4x slot and a THB_C header connector. Externally, the card connects with my graphics card via Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. macOS Installation

I followed the Installation Guide as best I could. I used UniBeast to make a bootable USB drive with High Sierra 10.13.4 and Clover Configurator to edit the config.plsit file. Things I changed with Clover Configurator were:

1. On ACPI tab, check NVidia on the right side
2. On Boot tab, uncheck nvda_disable=1
3. On System Parameters tab, check Nvidia Web

A couple issues I ran into after beginning installation:
1. The black Apple loading bar getting 2/3 of the way full then getting a circle with a slash
2. Mouse and keyboard were non-functional on the language selection screen
3. Inserting the USB flash drive into a USB 3.0 port worked. USB 2.0 for me was not working during installation and would fail every time.

To fix this, I had to mount the EFI folder using Clover Configurator and add the following .kext files in EFI > CLOVER> kexts > Other for proper installation (attached):
1. USBInjectAll.kext
2. XHCI-200-series-injector.kext

After going through the macOS High Sierra installation, I checked my System Preferences for Sound and Internet. Without having to install any drivers, the machine recognized the built in speakers and Ethernet port of the Thunderbolt display so I did not have to add any drivers through MultiBeast! I have it hardwired to internet but have the WiFi adapter as an option to cast to my TV if I ever need/want to.

One thing I did notice is that when the computer goes to sleep, I'm not able to adjust the volume as the computer no longer recognizes the audio input/output so I have to unplug the monitor and plug it back in. If I find another solution, I will definitely post it here or if anyone has suggestions please let me know.

Hi Blurnabe, can you share your working clover folder (config.plist, kexts folder, driver64efi folder...)? I think remove the theme folder and zip it will be alright to upload here.

Also do you still keep Intel 9560 on the mobo or take it out? Thanks.

I haven't been active on this forum in a while so I'm just now seeing these replies. Sorry about that. Have you been able to trouble shoot this at all? If not, I'll post those when I get a chance by the end of the week.

As for the Intel 9560 Wireless card, I removed it from the mobo. I actually don't use the Edimax wireless adapter anymore either as I have my machine hardwired to my router via my cinema display.

I've uploaded my EFI folder from clover here. Hopefully this works for you!

I am too. That's your up to date efi folder?

Hello,

I have almost the same setup. Unfortunately, the installation always breaks off shortly before the end and I cannot boot the system from the disk on which I installed HighSierra.

I'm pretty sure I screwed up with the "config plist". May I see yours so I can find the error or try to install it with yours?
Do you have an newer efi Folder? This one didnt work for me...

Hello! Now I've got the system up and running but still have problems with the MultiBeast setup.

- No Sound
- No Network
- Problems with the USB-Ports

Is there anyone who can tell me his MultiBeast settings?

Is it this mobo? I can't even get past the Apple logo on installation, it just sits there.

How is your system running now? I'm having trouble even with the installation.
