Also if people are wondering why I chose 16GB of ram it is because I do lots of multitasking with premiere pro, photoshop, chrome, skype, and more all at the same time. If anybody knows a Mac OS X card reader I can add to my system that will be well appreciated.

I personal suggest you (if you can afford it) find a MoBo the supports Xeon CPU for future upgrade, if not is a good choice that one, get on SSD for your system preferable 120GB, and the last thing I would recommend is to go with Nvidia Graphica Card, as my experience goes, but of course it is your choice.
One more thing is you are going to work with multitask as you said then go for 24 or 32GB or RAM, cheers let us know what you decide!!!

So what go with the EVGA GTX 550?

why? I chose the Gigabyte version because its listed on a custom mac and it doesnt take two pci connection ports

how many pins? Plus from what I hear it lacks accessories. Although the "Do not disturb I"m Gaming" thing for your door does seem nice?

That's a rather expensive hard drive. You can get a Samsung Spinpoint 1 TB hard drive for $10 less. Also, unless you're sure you need hyperthreading (I don't do video editing, so I don't know), the i5 2500K is usually a better buy than the 2600K. The performance difference between the two is small, but the price difference is big. You could even overclock the 2500K so that it almost matches the performance of the 2600K.

Why did you list two graphics cards?

If you're going to spend that much money, be sure to buy two monitors. I'm currently using a dual-monitor setup, and I'm loving it. It makes doing work so much easier!

Oh crap I didn't mean to list two graphics cards that's my bad. I ONLY AM LOOKING AT GETTING THE 6850. As for the hard drive I picked that one because I have an Hitachi HDD currently. Plus the HDD is listed as the same price on amazon

Your Right :banghead: checked linustechtips on youtube. From what I saw previously it showed two pci-e slots on the graphics card
