Hi guys, been doing some reading and was wondering if my current PC could be used.
Specs:
i5-2500k OC 4ghz
G.Skill 8GB DDR3-1600 (2x4GB)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB
500W PSU
I'm not sure what the current MOBO is but I would change it to a:
Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI
So it would fit in a smaller case like the one in the buyer's guide (BitFenix Phenom (White))
So my main question is, would this run with an old 2500k? The buying guide shows that the Skylake processors are the prefered ones. But I feel like my 2500k is still running so smooth. Even after all these years.
Also thinking about upgrading the RAM to 2x 8GB for work.
