Im having the same issues but when I type the sudo string it asks for my password. At that point my keyboard stops responding so I cant put in my password. I can cancel out and my keyboard works.

For security reasons, what you enter is hidden. You have to type your password anyway... Standard Unix/Linux password entry at Terminal.

Okay. I figured that out. I went ahead and typed my password anyways even though nothing showed up and hit enter. It worked. It just doesn't show what you type for a password. Probably for security reasons. Hope this helps
