Multibeast for little snitch?

Hi,
I've read about problems (kernel panics) after installing little snitch because it messes up some other system files.
So I wonder, do I have to use System Utilities to rebuild caches and repair permissions before rebooting? - After all, a kext is being installed...

Talking about little snitch 2.5.3 on Snow Leo 10.6.8

the higher the versions go, 2.5 is for ML, 2.4 for lion, 2.3 for snow,
the more complicated they are.

they are not interferring, but operate on a deep kernel level ( otherwise LS would be useless)

so do install as your are told, but with Multibeast it has nothing to do
( thats an installer package, that installs system extensions, repairs permissions, rebuilds caches)

you have to restart after little snitch install, and i think, the little snitch installer does repair and rebuild itself
i have no problem with it.

Not shure why, but I would like to stick to LS 2.5.3

...so do install as your are told, but with Multibeast it has nothing to do...

So I guess the same applies to Paragon and everything else one can install - no need for Multibeast whatsoever?

I installed little snitch on my system with no problems.

I installed LS 3 and the screen/system freezes at the Desktop loaded. Nice program would be a pity if we could not use it.

Hands off! is the LS alternative, any reports of that not working?

I have those freezes sometimes too with LS 2.5.3 configuration.
They don't last very long, but its distracting.
Any solution?

May I ask what you need little snitch for? Just curious.
