MSI Z77A-G45
i5-2500k
Radeon HD 6890
Patriot Pyro 128 gb
12gb Ram (8gb Dual Channel, 4gb Single Channel)

Steps taken:

1. Put High Sierra on USB via Unibeast.

2. Installed High Sierra on Motherboard/Processor (successful)

3. Multi Beast was being a butt with mobo/pro combo and wouldnt allow me to boot after. (Will boot fine with USB boot to Mac OS, not installer. Solo boot without usb results in failure.)

4. Copied USB High Sierra Installer Config file to High Sierra Drive (MacOS). (Now boots on solo boot without USB Stick)

Problems:

1. Sound ALC892 (tried using Multibeast just for that, does not work)

2. Internet Realtek 8111E (Tried multibeast, Kext beast)

3. Clover does not Auto Boot. (When you power on system, normally it will auto boot MacOS but in this case it just sits on Clover Boot Screen)

4. Sys Definition. (What do i list my system as? i know mac 12,2 is the closes with a i5-2500S)(is sys definition important?)

This is my 2nd System with Hackintosh. The first system was fairly simple and had a decent amount of support, however with my experience and lack of previous experience, i am unable to find much about Z77A-G45 and High Sierra. Mostly it is El Capitan, Yosemite.

Is there another version recommended for this mobo/pro combo?

Check L/E for presence of ALC drivers for alc892
Check L/E for presence of Realtek drivers for RTL8111

if there, delete
Download form the site downloads>kexts
AppleALC
RealtekRTL8111
copy these to Clover/Kexts/Other
reboot

zip and post config.plist

Hello!
Apologies for the delay, working nights at a hospital during COVID19 is rough.

I Looked through L/E for all the drivers and found none.

I downloaded AppleALC which unzipped produced a Kext file. I moved this into the Clover/Kexts/Other on the EFI drive of the main drive.

The RealtekRTL8111 File I downloaded produced a folder type with ".kext 2" Is this correct? i moved that folder into the same spot of Clover/Kexts/Other.

Side note, I changed the processor from a 2500k to a 3570k i5 if that affects anything.

Attached is the Config.plist

Thanks for the help!

Hello

I changed the RTL8111 to remove the 2 and placed it in the Others folder on the efi kext folder.

I Replaced the config file on the EFI with your provided Config plist.

Unfortunately all of my problems still persist.

1. no auto boot
2. no internet
3. no audio
4. no correct system definition if that matters.

I do have a USB to 3.5mm output input to use for the audio however i have no solutions for the other problems.

should i resort back to my original plist?

thanks again for you help.

Hello. Here is the request pic. The 3rd option is the MacOS boot.

The system starts up to that exact setting where the first one is selected but no auto boot.

In your config.plist under Boot change DefaultVolume from Las Booted Volume to HighSierraHD and the time out function will work and always boot the HS volume.
