MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

Everything is fine.
I used another EFI folder for a fresh installation and then put the NorthAmTransAm's.
I don't understand why the installer don't appear with his. I tried many things but nothing change.
Now it's working and it's the most important.

Take a look at post #885 page 89

You needn't any drivers or patches in EFI for the AMD GPU: simply plug-and-play.
Your 5700xt should work from box.

@sonny362, I actually had an issue yesterday that maybe you could help with. All of a sudden I was getting the black screen with my 6600XT after boot then it would loop. Scratching my head here as i've tried what feels like everything.

Updating this post as I go for my own notes:
1. Remove APPLE folder from EFI from last update
2. Swap agdpmod=pikera with agdpmod=vit9696

You tried ClearNVRAM?
Yeah, I'm pretty confused actually.

So far I've tried the following.

  1. Enabled Resizable Bar (both BIOS and config)
  2. Newest WEG/Lilu combination
  3. agdpmod=vit9696 and agdpmod=pikera
  4. ATY,Henbury Device Properties
  5. WEG Disabled (no boot args)
  6. Disabling Security options in config (watchdog, apple panic, etc...)

At one point I was able to boot into macOS with no monitor output and remote in with my MacBook. I could see in IOReg that it was seeing the 6600 XT, but About This Mac shared no such info.

After that I got lucky and booted into macOS with video output but I knew it was fluke. Restarts after that resulted in boot loops.

Any help here is welcome.

Max TOLUD to Disabled;
Re-Size BAR Support to Disabled;
- Settings -> Advanced -> Integrated Peripherals - VGA Detection to Auto;
- Settings -> Advanced -> Integrated Graphic Configuration -> Initiate Graphic Adapter to PEG;
IGD Multi-Monitor to Disabled;
- Security -> Secure Boot to Disabled;
- OC Settings -> CPU Features -> CFG Lock to Disabled.

My boot-agrs: keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=1 -wegnoigpu

These are all my normal digs. And to be clear, with the 580 its fine. Running some more test before I start working.
