Problem: No HDMI device in Sound Preferences

I've followed Toleda guide (2a) to modify my DSDT. Tried both complete[6870] and generic.

No HDMI device in Prefs. Then I went to next step of Kext editing. I've discovered nothing need to be edited since senseid is matching to HDMI connector_id, at least for ATI6000Controller.kext and MSI.HD6870.1024.101230.bin(how to heck to check my vbios version?). So sensid is 4.

Then in pdf file I see connector_id is 4 as well for HDMI connector type.

So I have GFX and HDAU devices:

Attach a "copy" of IOReg (IORegistryExploer/File/Save a Copy As...) rather than the dump.

Done. Thanks!

This is what I see in Sound Preferences:

Not sure if it is related, but I've found the following in the logs:

Jan 2 23:44:48 localhost kernel[0]: Can't load kext com.apple.driver.AudioAUUC - failed to resolve library dependencies.

No go. AMD HDMI audio in OS X didn't exist at the time that kext was released. You missed this: "Verify AppleHDA v 2.1.x is installed in S/L/E." You may be in luck. Trash S/L/E/ALC8xxHDA.kext. Try the AppleHDA.kext attached.
