I'm currently using MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G for both Win8.1 and my MacPro 5.1. Win8.1 runs perfectly but my MacPro is having problems. Below are details of my Mac installation.
- OSX Yosemite 10.10.4
- NVIDIA Driver Manager 346.01.03f01
- CUDA Driver Version 7.0.52
- GPU Driver Version 10.5.2 (346.01.03f01)

My apps doesn't perform well especially FCP X. Playback stutters and gets worse if I add effects. Attached is the screen shot of the results from Luxmark 3.0 Mac version:

Here are two other person's results using different brands and types:
shilohh - http://www.tonymacx86.com/buying-advice/141637-gtx-970-gtx-980-here-38.html#post1033703 (Luxmark hitting 19601 and 17886)
looze015 - http://www.tonymacx86.com/buying-advice/141637-gtx-970-gtx-980-here-38.html#post1034669 (Luxmark hitting 32391 for two cards)

If you notice, the Luxmark result actually shows Geforce GTX 980 shilohh's result and GTX 970 like looze015's, while mine is showing Graphics Device. They are using different brands but I'm guessing because the driver is not ID-ing the card correctly, the performance is hit. Maybe the card ID can be fixed thru smbios? Anybody have a workaround?

Hi all,

NVIDIA just released web drivers 346.02.02f03 and now my FCPX flies. My Geekbench is still in the same numbers but on windows side it's exactly the same. Doesn't matter, very happy now that its working faster than my GTX 780.

For those of you using GTX 9xx series, I encourage you to download this asap.
