A question for all the great people here...

I have a GT710 installed (Sierra on an HP 8300).
Everything works fine (very well actually).

Graphical performance is as expected.

But the image quality is not what I was expecting: I connected to my monitor using an HDMI cable (native monitor resolution: 1080p@60Hz).
The same monitor connected to my MacMini (still over HDMI) was delivering a much nicer picture.
I have some "aliasing effects" (red halo around the fonts) and "dark grey" horizontal lines tend to be almost invisible.

I already tried to uncheck the "lcd font" option in the sytem preferences, but it did not improve (it made it worse).

Am I overlooking anything?
Or is it just the poor quality of the HDMI output on the graphic card?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
Kind regards, Domenico

Just for the record...

Problem solved using a DVI to HDMI cable: quality seems much better.
I have read that this is a "common" problem with nVidia card: when connected over HDMI the full color depth is not supported, resulting in artifacts.
Not sure whether this is true for all cards (I can't believe it) but in my case it helped.
