Hi,
Have installed SIerra 10.12.6 on a laptop MSI GL72M 7RDX, was curious if it succeed.
Use the laptop mostly in Linux, there is no Windows on it. Linux mount the EFi partition on /boot, so it was easy to access the EFI partition, in Macos you can use an EFI mounter or Clover, for handy purposes put a version on your usb drive.
Intel HD630 works with 1536 MB ram,
Make an usb drive with a Sierra 10.12.6 guide from here, copy the attached EFI file on it, use an usb keyboard during installation, laptop internal PS2 keyboard does not work (maybe you can put VoodooPS2Controller on usb EFI), after installation boot from usb and copy the attached Clover file to EFI volume on disk.
Will attach the EFi (efi-gl72m-7rdx-usb.zip) i have used for usb installation and Clover (clover-gl72m-7rdx.zip) after installation, so you can use the laptop with Sierra 10.12.6.
Have used the lastest version of the following kexts: ACPIBatteryManager, AppleALC, IntelGraphicsFixup, VoodooHDAa, VoodooPS2Controller and AtherosE2200.
Wifi does not work, I use a TP-Link TL-W725N usb adapter for wifi, TP-link drivers work in 10.12.6.
Maybe this can work for other laptops with similar configuration.
