Couldn't find the answer in the posts in this section, but there have to be more!
I have given up on Nvidia and future Mojave support and decided to move to AMD and sell the 1080Ti. After that I intend to upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave.

What would be a smart choice with a budget of 750- 1100,-? I read that the Radeon VII is already discontinued and has buggy software?
My primary use is the Adobe Suite for design, photo and video editing so I need a fast and reliable GPU with sufficient memory.

Thanks for all the help (pastry chef.. ;-)

Right now the best choice would be an RX 5700 XT. It's support is just starting in Catalina. Doesn't work in Mojave. So if you can upgrade to Catalina this card looks the most promising. RX Vega 64 is also be a good choice and would work with Mojave right now.

I have this question as well, except in my case I'm ditching a 1060. What AMD graphics cards are worthwhile and compatible? Thanks!
A Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB would be similar or even better in performance. Have a look at that.

These are OOB compatible with Mojave or Catalina.

Thanks guys. I guess a RX 5700 XT is an even better choice than the VII.
Is it safe to say that AMD cards might also work better or more stable in OSX from now on? It's kind of contradicting because AMD drivers (and cards) have always been kind of buggy from my own experience. Even the reviews of the 5700 XT are not too positive overall. Overheating, crashes, you name it. My biggest concern is compatibility with the Adobe Suite and especially After Effects.
