Just wanted to add my voice and say I am experiencing this. It only happens on my 5K display (did not happen previously with standard display on the same build.) Latest Nvidia drivers and Sierra. Still no fix.

I had the same issue with my Dell 5K and Macbook Pro retina. Experienced strange cursor behaviour when moving the cursor from left to right and vice versa. In my case I discovered that in Sierra the default resolution has been changed. Setting both laptop display and monitor display to "default for display" solved it for me.

Under mission control, i changed the flag displays have separate spaces to off and it looks like it fixed it.
This fixed it but only until the screensaver kicked in.

Running Mac Pro 5,1 with Nvidia GTX1080 and Dell 5K UP2715K, latest 378.05.05 drivers

Currently my Workaround is to have a "Hot cornor" with "Put display to sleep"... it's faster then shutting the monitor off/on.
I now have a hot corner too and seems to fix it if i briefly activate it

Accesibility / Display / Uncheck [] Shake mouse pointer to locate.
This seems to fix the cursor issue for me.

Fixed on 10.12.5 for anyone? Haven't updated yet, but curious.

Hello,

I've got the exact same issue, running Sierra 10.12.5 on an Intel Haswell i5-4460 with Nvidia 705 GT, it's so annoying.
