Hi there,

I hope you're having a great one.

I have a Mighty Mouse (the a1152 model, two AA batteries) that I'd like to use with my set up. Out of all Apple mices this one is actually the most comfortable to use.

HOWEVER when I connect it to my Hackintosh, it goes through well, it tracks, the ball works but it doesn't register any button clicks. None whatsoever. Except one brief moment right after the pairing when it sometimes does register one click, but that's it. Seemingly, it loses some part of the connection responsible for the buttons (???, doesn't make sense, I know).

I've tested it on a Macbook pro (2016 gen) and it works great. Same goes for my Windows boot, no problem whatsoever.

Is there anyone who has suffered the same fate or who knows how to get outta this? Help will be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Is this the A1197 Wireless Apple Mighty Mouse or the A1152 wired/USB mouse?

Did you use a Lightning Cable to connect the mouse to your hack when pairing the device? If not try doing the pairing when it is connected by lightning cable.

Hi Edhawk, thanks for replying to this. It's the old wireless one, no lightning port whatsoever.
Am i missing a kext? Other BT devices work great tho.

Which Bluetooth module are you using in your system, Broadcom or Intel?

How is the Bluetooth module configured and connected?

There are a few issues with Bluetooth because of changes Apple made to the Bluetooth stack in MacOS Monterey. It may be the Bluetooth module is not behaving because of these issues, and the Intel Bluetooth kext/firmware may need to be updated for Monterey.

Yes, using a native Broadcom WiFi/BT card might fix the issue.

Ok, if there aren't other possible ways to find out the solution we'll have to wait until the card arrives from china. I will let you know how that worked out.

Thanks a lot! :)
