basically it will shutdown but the system will continue to run afterwards untill i manually powerdown.
board: ga-z77x-ud5h(f14), cpu:i7 3770k, gpu: gtx680.

i've tried looking elsewhere but i cant find anyone with the same specs as me with the same problem. could it be because i flashed to the newly released f14 bios maybe? does this board need a dsdt now?

any help would be very much apreciated :)

Try to run Multibeast with only evoreboot selected.
It solved my problems of shutdown/reboot

thanks for your help but i've now "fixed" this issue. although it wasnt a very elegant solution...

i was messing around in multibeast when the system froze after the installation. i reset, selected mac boot drive and immediatly ran into a kernel panic. after much swearing and raging, i reformatted the SSD and reinstalled mac and now shutdown/reset run fine.

so this narrows it down to the installation of logic 9.1.7 or the mr816 driver. i'll report back after i've reinstalled them.

EDIT: everything works fine after reistalling stuff. confused but relieved :)
