Hi guys!
I have a Motu PCI -424 and io 24, but it does not work on my hackintosh!
l have two operating systems: Lion and Snow.
My configuration is:
i3 3.2
msi ph61-p33 b3
Where is the problem?
Thnaks!

problem could be the driver.
is it for SL, Lion or Leopard ?
Douwnload the latest driver and check which OS is supported.

Hi everybody

Here I'm trying to make a Lion working with no sucess.

Intel D975XBX2
GeForce 8400

Everything is ok with unibeast + multibeast Lion: Lan, video and all upgrades ok.

KP after MOTU 424 lastest driver donwloaded at Motu.com

also tried PCI and PCIe 424 core.

Trying now with SL...

Im running ML with a motu pcie (2) 2408 & (2) 1296 with no issues

I just did a very basic test with a Motu PCI-424 and a 2408 MKII on Mountain Lion.

I installed the card, then the driver, restarted with the 2408 connected and everything was was recognised as it should be.

I haven't tried to run any audio thru it yet.

Hi Salty Dog,

Did the MOTU work out for you? Do you have a PCI card or PCIe?

I have a GA-Z77X-UD5H and am running ML, and I'm thinking of picking up a 2408 and 24 i/o, but it has a PCI card.

I would love to know if this would work before I take the plunge, and have to buy a pcie card!

Thanks!

Hi Scottyp,

Yup, I have the MOTU interface and card working well.

I have the PCI version of the card connected to a 24i, 2 x 2408KII.

See my signature to the system configuration.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know Salty Dog! I'm excited to pick up this system and try it out.

Hi All,

I'm a little late to the party on this subject, but I've got a similar set up (MOTU PCI 424 - original, not X or e versions). Works fine on my GA-X79-UD3 with Xeon E5-2620 running Windows 8 with latest MOTU drivers (running a dual boot Win 8 / OS X 10.8.4 system).

However, OSX 10.8.4 doesn't recognize the PCI card. There has been some speculation that the MOTU drivers just won't work with the original PCI card. I contacted them to see, and got the following response:

Our Mac PCI drivers do support the original PCI-424 card. That being said, I wouldn't guarantee any degree of functionality on a hackintosh, since we don't write or test our PCI drivers with non-Apple hardware in mind.

I did run lspci and got the following (similar to dewdman42's experience at the following link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113148-help-needed-with-pci-card-not-working/):

0C:00.0 Mulitimedia audio controller [0401]: Mark of the Unicorn Inc Unknown Device [137a:0003] (rev ff)

This leads me to believe that the issue might be the IOPCI kexts in 10.8.4 not being set up correctly for the lone legacy PCI slot on my motherboard. Anybody have any experience with this or know where to look?

Hi I just built a hackintosh with the following specs below. Everything is running great with ML. I am trying to get my 2408MKII working with the PCIX-424 card. I cant get 10.8.4 to recognized it. I have downloaded the newest drivers and also the legacy ones but once I click on the driver app "MOTU PCI AUDIO" setup it says it can't see the pcix-424 card. My MOBO only has pcie slots and the original White PCI slots. I have the PICX-424 card installed in a PCI slot, I have tried both PCI slots. I think maybe the drivers are looking for the card in a pcie slot or a pcix slot. Is there anyway to get it to look at the regular PCI slots, where the PCIX-424 card is installed in?

Thanks
-Scott
