Hello, I am a newbie to the Hackintosh community.
This will be my first build. I shopped around these last 3 weeks for the best prices.
I bought a motherboard recommended by Tonymacx86.
GIGABYTE GA-Z87M-D3H

I decided to go with 1 memory stick of 8gb.
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model BLS8G3D1609DS1S00

I have some doubts about compatibility because the motherboard uses dual channel.
Does using 2 sticks of 4 gb each work better compared to 1 stick of 8?
Does anyone know if my hackintosh would work perfectly fine?

Please help!!! i have all my parts ready for installation but i want to be sure before putting it all together.
thank you in advance!

It will work with one 8gb. When/if you add another Ballistix 8gb stick later on you'll then
be running in dual channel mode.

thanks for the reply.
would i see any decrease in performance? or its the same thing?

Not likely you'd notice the difference in everyday use.
