motherboard for 10 camera concert

I'll be cutting a 10 camera shoot and am considering building a Hackintosh to handle the load.

I'm totally new to this, so forgive me if this is a basic question, but is there a motherboard that handles thunderbolt well? I was considering running the media drives off two RAID 0 Thunderbolt drives in an attempt to avoid my computer getting chocked up. Would USB3 be more reliable?

Have a look at this build by BoomR. Thunderbolt is a little finicky on a hackintosh but if you know how to configure and use it properly it can work well.
