Monterey 12.7.1 on old Ivy Bridge - OC 0.6.9 & OCLP 0.6.8

Great work!!! I have a couple of Ivy Bridge rigs running Catalina and now I will follow your steps and update them to Monterey. I did installed Monterey on a Haswell rig, and is running ok, but I find it lagging and slow. I used to run BigSur on that rig and it ran fine. How smooth do you feel Monterey on you Ivy Bridge system?
My Monterey is running ok on my Ivy, usable although a bit slow :)

I bought 240GB Pioneer SSD and I reinstalled Monterey from scratch.
The performance significantly increase. Booting time is only 17sec (it took more than a minute using HDD).
And most applications and games run faster.

So, my advice use SSD instead of HDD.

Cheers....

Here is my Geekbench:

Hello Sirsasana ,
what Version of OpenCore did you use for your EFI?
I used your EFI for my ASUS PC and it works for Monterey 12.01 .
I only have Problems with Hackintool, what crashes.

Please check your boot argument, mine is
  • OpenCore config setup: NVRAM ➤ Add ➤ boot-args ⬇︎
  • -v keepsyms=1

Hello@ Sirsasana ,

I use the same bootarg as in your config.plist (no changes!).

Did you realy changed your csr-active-config with ☞ 87070000?

I tried it and had a Kernel Crash.

HelloFeartech ,

I didn't find the right place to change the Hardware Profile, thanks for your Hint.
I have my Hardware Profile also in the Signatur.
