Yesterday I installed macOS Monterey 12.1 on old Ivy Bridge Desktop and then update it to Monterey 12.2.1.
Here is my rig:
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2B3 with f10 bios
Processor Intel 3-3225 3.3Ghz – 3M cache
Memory Hynix 4GB DDR3
Harddisk Seagate 250GB

And here is my macOS Monterey 12.2.1
- SMBios iMac 17,1
- Graphics Intel HD4000
- Wifi Broadcom BCM4352
- Bluetooth Broadcom BCM20702 (AirDrop works)
- Sound Apple ALC889
- keyboard Logitech K375S
- Logitech WebCam C270

I have to add BlueToolFixup.kext in order for bluetooth to works and also apply PatchHD4000 for the Graphics.
And, I post this thread from the Monterey...

Cheers,

Hi there.

Glad you have a working build there.

Have you posted in the "Support" thread because you have a problem you need help with? If so, what is it?

Hi JDepetris,
Mostly I just follow Dortania guide.
Installing and updating was quite challenging. I had to prepared and used clover bootloader in one point to make a complete installation/update.

So, when the open core seems like hanging then I reboot the computer using clover to boot the macOS, and after it completed and got into the login screen and so on. Then I can normally reboot the Monterey with open core.

Cheers,

i'm interested in how you used an iMac 17,1 smbios...
I used the iMac17,1 just always to get software update directly from System Preferences..
Please take a look at the EFI I attached in previous post, feel free to use it if it is compatible with your system.

This morning I tried to Airplay a YouTube video from my iPhone SE to Monterey, and it works :)..
Bluetooth transferring from Samsung Mobile phone is also working...

Cheers...
