Hello everybody, I just installed Mojave on my Desktop and I managed to get the sound working on both 3.5mm jack as well as HDMI. However, there are some caveats, but more on that later. I don't wanna spoil the fun, you have to suffer by reading through my chaotic post :D

BUILD:
CPU: Intel i3 8100
MB: Gigabyte Z370m DS3H - https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z370M-DS3H-rev-10#sp
GPU: ASUS DUAL RX580 8 GB - https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/DUAL-RX580-O8G/specifications/
RAM: 8 GB 2400MHz (2x4 GB)
SSD1 2.5 inch: Crucial MX500 500GB (W10 and Linux) - http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/storage-ssd-mx500
SSD2 2.5 inch: WD Green 240 GB (Mojave) - https://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=1801
HDD: 2 TB, don't remember the brand, but it's not relevant
PSU: 530W Thermaltake Hamburg - https://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001783
CASE: Thermaltake Corev21 - https://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002559
WiFi: some cheap 10€ USB adapter

My struggles with this build:
- Used Multibeast for post-install setup to install clover
- Instead of downloading Clover Configurator, I downloaded latest version of Clover and installed it.... I realised too late what I've done, now I have 2 EFI partitions but it's working normal. Please troll me for this mistake, I deserve it.
- Sound issues

SOLUTIONS:
- for the dual EFI partition I didn't find one, but I don't really care about it.
- cannot mount EFI with Clover Configurator, must use EFI Mounterv3
- DON'T BOTHER INSTALLING AUDIO with multicast, it won't work.

Since I cant find a way to indent more, I will separate it here (SOUND FIX)
- delete all the sound related kexts from /Library/Extensions : Lilu, Whatevergreen, ALCxxx (or whatever you are using)
- download Lilu, WhateverGreen and AppleALC kexts from the kext section.
- put the kexts in /Library/Extensions/ (I used finder, KextBeast failed me first time)
- mount EFI and open clover config.plist
- go to "Devices", check "Reset HDA", and fill in the "inject" drop menu with 3,7,11 or 5 depending on your chipset. For ALC887 I used 7. There is a video on youtube on how to fix it, where it shows which value to use for your chipset. I can't find it at the moment, it's 2.18 AM in Germany.
- save your config.plist and reboot

TO DO:
- Hide all the non-os partition from clover: I managed to hide MacOs Preboot and Recovery, but that's about it. All other storage partitions don't have a name so I can add them in clover. will investigate when I will find the time
- perform an extended stress test. I did an Unigine Heaven, 1600x900 Ultra, everything maxed out, windowed. I got around 1100-1200 points. I don't know whether it's good or bad, you tell me.

WHAT WORKS (only tested base functionality):
- Sound works on headphones and HDMI (I have 2 lousy speakers integrated in my monitor)
- Volume control on headphones works (3.5mm jack)
- Microphone works (3.5mm jack)
- Pretty smooth, could have booted faster. Boots much slower than W10 (about 30 secs vs 16-19)

WHAT DOESN'T WORKS:
- Volume control over HDMI. Bug or feature? you tell me :)

VARIABLES & DISCLAIMER:
- didn't have time to check everything, only basic functions: settings, browser, text editor, one unigine heaven run
- didn't perform a stress test
- didn't install steam nor gamed on it to see if it crashes
- didn't log in into iCloud account (not a priority since I sold my iPhone 8+)
- didn't install any software at all except for the tools listed here
- I AM A NOOB! it's my second experience with a hackintosh, first time was in 2014-2015 (ASUS G750JW - i7 4700hq, gtx770m), but there was a dedicated guide for that laptop, therefore IDIOT PROOF :D (didn't have to tinker with it, just monkey-see monkey-do :D )

Please let me know if you have any questions/remarks on my build. Some mistakes/confusions might have slipped here, since I said I am just another noob tinkering around. I will be disappointed if you won't find any mistakes/make remarks :D

Have a nice day :)

Note that once you set the audio output to go through the TV you will lose the ability to adjust the sound volume levels through the Mac’s audio output controls, meaning you’ll need to use the TV’s built-in volume adjustment buttons or a remote control.
I read that, thanks. I am hoping there will be a fix for this since I do not have a remote on my monitor. And it's literally a lot of clicks to change volume on my monitor

The HDMI audio is sent outside core audio mixer, so only an app like "Sound Control" can help you independently control the system & apps audio volume.

"Keyboard Volume
Add keyboard volume controls, to DisplayPort monitors, HDMI TV & Receivers, and other devices missing them."
