Gigabyte H97M-D3H (MATX/H97) - HD4600 on Intel i3 4350
MOJAVE 10.14.3

Prepare BIOS/UEFI settings
Configure as provided in attachment (UEFI.zip with screenshots inside) - screenshot are taken with motherboard BIOS F5

Download Mojave from MacAppStore
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-mojave/id1398502828?mt=12

Create vanilla bootable USB
according to the tutorial provided by Apple in https://support.apple.com/HT201372

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume
(wait up to 40 minutes)

Download and Install Clover on USB
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/latest/download
Important: use the bootable USB as destination
Important: use customisation installation and add the following packages
- AudioDxe
- Clover for UEFI booting only
- Install Clover in the ESP
- DataHubDxe
- FSInject
- SMCHelper
- VBoxHFS
- ApfsDriverLoader
- AptioMemoryFix

Install macOS Mojave
Always boot from USB (F12) during each installation phase of macOS (it could be reboot 2/3 times)

Install Clover on Drive
Important: user your drive (SSD/HDD) as destination
(same configuration as above)

Put Kext in EFI drive
You will find the EFI drive mounted on your Desktop (if not, use some tools like Clover Configurator) and put the Kext provided in the KextMojave.zip attached in:
EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Customize Clover Config
Use the attached config.plist as base for your customization.

Any ideas?

I'm trying to achieve the 100% functionality on GA-H97M-D3H motherboard (I have the v1.0) with Intel Core i3 4350 (HD4600) in order to write an "installation guide" / post an "user build template". This post is not a Guide, but a free discussion thread to achieve the desired result (100% working machine on Yosemite 10.10.1+) with the help of the community.

I would like to ask help and discuss about the best configuration, but using CLOVER and UEFI only mode (no Chimera/UniBeast/MultiBeast/Legacy Boot).

PROBLEMS:
1) Graphics Glitches (like white noise) during boot on HDMI or DVI (not tested with VGA):
VIDEO:

2) Graphics Glitches (like artefact) after resume from Sleep
VIDEO (slow motion):

ALERT FOR CUSTO-MAC BUYERS: It seems that there are overall problems with HD4600/Series 9 Chipset with Yosemite. Stay away until the problems are solved (here the same problems is reported to appear on GA-Z97M-DS3H with Intel i3 4360 too).

3) Headphones in forntal panel audio not detected after resume from Sleep
4) A bit of noise from headphone attached to frontal panel (it stops after about 30 seconds of no music)
5) iMessage and Facetime (currently no solution available according to the official fix thread )

WORKING:
-SSD TRIM
- Graphics acceleration QE
- iCloud services
- Ethernet Realtek 8111
- Sleep and Monitor Shutdown (VIDEO: http://youtu.be/XIk-dWQnHQU)
- Audio ALC892 (with separate channels)
- HDMI, DVI (VGA not tested)

SETUP:
- UEFI Setup: update to F5 firmware; then configure as provided in attachment (UEFI.zip with screenshots inside)
- Follow this guide choosing the "Install for UEFI booting only option in Clover Installer, RealtekRTL81xx for ethernet):
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html
- Attached my CLOVER configuration (CLOVER.zip contains the whole folder, but you should be interested in config.plist).
- Patch Audio: Download CloverALC (in tools below), decompress
audio_cloverALC-100.command.zip, double click on .command

TOOLS:
- Clover Configurator (to mount EFI partition where CLOVER files are located):
http://mackie100.webwacemaster.altervista.org/
- Clover BootLoader (use version 3113+): http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/
- Audio: https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC

If someone managed to have a better installation then mine or knows how to solve these problems (maybe happening on similar motherboards), please write here and we can discuss.

Excellent work.
I am thinking about installing Yosemite 10.10.1 on my PC with similar configuration with a I-5 4590 processor (Ram = 8GB GSKILL).
Is there anything you want to suggest?

Hi there, I have the H97M-D3H board and I am trying to switch over to clover from Chimera/Chameleon. Did you have any trouble with external SATAs? I have setup one as external in the H97M's BIOS settings, but I can't get it to mount. I'm going to give your config.plist a try
Thanks

i have same problem

Glitches on boot

you know fix ?

Just installed Mojave with the same Mobo, just to say thanks for the kexts, I only ever used fakesmc al these years, but your bundle makes everything better! Cheers man. :) I use a GTX 760 at Mojave has native drivers. Amazing this board is still going strong after so many years constant use.

Thank you.
I’m not using this hackintosh daily anymore but my mother does. She is reporting some problems on Sleep (as long as I understand it seems that after going in Sleep, the system doesn’t resume correctly but does a normal boot, reporting errors). Please check if it is happens to you too, while I’m trying to collect more precise information.

Can also confirm this motherboard (ga-h97m-g3h) is working perfectly with Catalina 10.15.1 :headbang: And still going strong after nearly 6 years!
I’m having some trouble with the Z (Z97M-G3H) version of that board. What did you select in MultiBeast for the USB?

Amazing! Are you using the same files you attached to the first post?
