Hi,
actually I have an Imac mid-2011 27" and I would like to upgrade my configuration (hardware and OS): I think to build an hackintosh with i7-8700(K) with Vega 64 (I am searching for right mobo).
I also need to switch to 4k/HDR, with the right monitor (Benq SW320 or SW271, Dell UP2718Q for example, all with DP1.4 and HDMI 2.0 and with HDR600 or HDR 1000): HDR is the problem because for normal operations HDR is useless (maybe is worse than SDR) but is a great plus for photo/video (work on photo/video production and fun, for example to play 4k HDR streaming video).
So, I think Vega64 is 4k/HDR compliant but Mojave?
Will be possible to switch HDR on/off with Mojave and I will be able to play ITunes/Netflix/Primevideo video 4k/HDR or UHD discs with Mojave (for UHD discsI think it will be necessary Windows)?
Do you have any advice?
TIA
Alex
