Hi, I recently got a MacPro G5 (PPC) and I have find out that a hackintosh would be the approach that best fits me. THIS are the specs that I think can make it work: (keep in mind I am working on a budget -a low budget-. I have no need to run video editing programs, HQ games, etc..)
Processor
- Intel Core i3 Processor i3-550 3.20GHz 4MB LGA1156 CPU, Retail
Motherboard
- Intel DP55SB Socket LGA1156 DDR3 SDRAM PCI-E Desktop Motherboard (B)
Memmory
- Patriot Memory G Series DDR3 6GB / 3x2GB PC3-12800 1600MHZ Extreme Performance
Power Supply
-HIGH POWER® 600W ATX Supply for INTEL i7 i5 i3 MOTHERBOARD X58 P55 LGA1156
You can email me if you want to mentor me through this procces.([email protected])
Thanks in advance.
Luigi
P.S. If you think I should just stick to windows (because of OSX high reqs.) I will consider that as well. I would like to be advised as if the hardware is properly selected.
