When searching how to make a cable to use the front power button, USB,jack and firewire, I found this guy on insanelymac, who makes them and sells them allo over the world : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222735-g5-front-panel-to-atx-io-cables/
It's a bit expensive, but really useful if you don't know how to do it, where to buy the stuff, if you bought the case without any cable (like me)
Hope it helped you ;)

Eelhead has the diagrams if you want to DYI the cable, but it looks like you got it taken care of lol

Also, no need for a screwdriver touching any pins! The Motherboard has a power button on it already ;)

As promised, here are a few pics :

The outside is in a pretty good state, but the inside is all dirty so I'll clean it up later.

It's ugly as sin but not bad for a proof of concept build. Second to last pic shows the power button on the motherboard. Apologies for the blurry pics.. My phone was the only camera I had at the moment :/

It's the 120mm fan with the Corsair logo in the 5th picture. It is sitting in the middle of the case, on the bottom. I have aluminum flashing on the back half of the PSU to make sure the warm air it pushes out is pushed out of the case and not recirculated inside.

Ater reflexion, I think I'm gonna put the PSU behind tje superdrive, and taje an antec 920 and put the fans in the bottom of the case, and take the HDD case which is recommended in the G5 uktimate resource thread, do you thibk all of this is gonna fit and if there would be a problem (I'm thinking of the pSU, will it be more difficylt ?
Thanks again :)

But this is (or not) pretty much a classic build... The thing I want is getting it work with a G5 case ! :D
So after a few research, I think all I need is : a G5 case obviously, and a
Mountain Mods Removable Motherboard Tray http://www.mountainmods.com/mountain-mods-modular-removable-motherboard-tray-p-56.html
But I absolutely don't know what fans take, and how many. So if you could help me, it would be really nice from you :D
I think this is pretty much it, thank you for reading and please help me if you can ^^

You will also need a front panel cable for the front IO, you can either make one yourself or buy one at the insanelymac forums ( http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...es/page__st__440__hl__+g5 +cable#entry1865227)

You need this cable because a g5 uses a 18 pin connector that's not found on modern motherboards,

good luck with the build, I'm also still a teenager (15) and believe me, it's easier than it seems ;)

Thanks, I already know about the cable, but the the moderators deleted my post because there were a link to the insanelymac forum ^^"

But I'd like to know if there will be a problem if I put the PSU behind the superdrive, like in the macpro.
