Has anyone updated to BigSur?
I had success with Clover 5.1 5131 and Open Core 0.6.7 on Big Sur 11.2 on GA B75M D3H. SMBios uses iMac 14.4.

Full Graphics, sleep and sound work on both OpenCore and Clover.

Update 2 March 2021:
Opencore 0.6.7 triple boots into Mac, Windows and Linux. Need Hard Drive EFI partition information in Misc- Entries to boot individual Linux Distributions.

Found this Web page

https://medium.com/macoclock/guide-...th-windows-macos-linux-kextcache-131e96784c3f

It uses Openshell.efi at boot in getting EFI Partition information for Linux partitions. Mac and Windows were found by Opencore. Entering "Ctrl Enter" at boot decides the default operating system.

Clover 5.1 5131 now only shows MacOS Preboot.

Update December 2021

Opencore 0.7.6 smBios iMac 17.1 triple boots into Mac, Windows and Linux. Opencore boot loader now detects Linux Partitions. Press Spacebar to see Hidden Linux Kernels and Recovery. Need to use "patch HD4000" by Chris 1111 for Intel HD4000 to work correctly in MacOS Monterey 12.1

Update July 2022

Opencore 0.8.3 Monterey 12.5

Update October 2022

Opencore 0.8.5 Ventura 13.0. Smbios iMac 19.1 . CryptexFixup.kext added to OC to overcome avx2.0 issue .

Disable Gate Keeper. Use OCLP 0.5.1 option "Post install Root Patch" for full graphic acceleration on HD4000.

Update November 2022

Clover 5150 Ventura 13.0 . Smbios iMac 19,1. CryptexFixup.kext added to overcome avx2.0 issue. Use OCLP for HD4000 acceleration. Opencore 0.8.6 Ventura 13.0. Smbios iMac 19.1.

Update April 2023

Opencore 0.9.1 Ventura 13.3.1 Smbios iMacPro 1.1. and Clover 5151.

I also had success with open core 0.6.4 using the MacPro6,1 smbios. So far everything seems to be working.
Using MP 6,1 and an SSDT.aml for CPU PM works better than other system defs because the 6,1 MP was Ivy Bridge based. HD4000 still has full support in Big Sur surprisingly. It's our Xmas gift (2020) from Apple. They could have removed it but didn't.

I broke mine by upgrading to the newest Clover, not able to get into mojave anymore.
Is there a way to switch from Clover into OPen Core 0.6.4?
Thank you in advance

never mind, i added -v and -no_compact_check, it worked.

Note: Use MacOS Preboot boot on the boot screen for Clover. It will not start with the normal MacOS boot.

Merry Xmas.

Hi thanks for the response. I have tried the Clover file you provided but I'm getting this error (see image). Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Not sure. Are you installing or updating to Big Sur? I assume that you are using the macOS Preboot entry and not the normal Boot. Maybe try booting a couple of times. It might clear the fault.

Maybe a problem with the Nvidia GTX 760 and Big Sur. Have read that some are having trouble booting. Try changing the SMBIOS to iMac 14.2 or iMac 14.4. See https://dortania.github.io/GPU-Buyers-Guide/modern-gpus/nvidia-gpu.html#kepler-series-gtx-6xx-7xx

Otherwise, try the OpenCore 0.6.4 EFI. When I was updating in the beta versions, I sometimes had to use OpenCore to update. I prefer using Clover for my triple boot PC.

I'm installing a fresh copy of Big sur, I'll attempt it without the GTX760 installed.

There is no option for MacOS preboot. Should there be?
