im planning to use my build as a remote VNC server, i already own mountain lion server from App Store
the question is how must i set up the app, in conjunction with port forwarding in my router.

Hi wolfintosh,

for understanding the features of apple server I recommend the youtube channel of Todd Olthoff.
It is in english (not my language ) but very easy to understand.

i have seen that channel its quite nice the issue is that unfortunately i don't own an airport it would have to be with the lynksys
