Hello ppl, i checked app Intel(R) power gadget which can be download from Intel web site. What I read, this app installs its own sensors. So, after some testing I noticed something never seen before. This app can show all freq. from 800mhz till OC 4.4 ghz like in windows, so if I can compare that will be identical frequency like in windows 8.1 in Task manager. I want to someone of experts confirm that it really works. MSdumper only show 8,34,35......44 but this one show 0,78ghz, 1.14ghz, 2.72, 2.98, 3,28ghz ....4.36 really strange :D

Hello all,

I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get speedstep (or ANYTHING besides no load/full load states) working for my 3570k OC'd to 4.2. Everything in the bios seems right, Windows sees the OC just fine, so it is actually working.

I have a patched bios, so I'm using the vanilla AICPM kext successfully (sleep/wake and all), except for my overclock and p-states.

I've attached my IOReg file and the SSDT (with bootloader set to Dropssdt=yes) I'm currently using, generated from the tools in the OP. MSRDump is only showing two states, 16 and 34. Could someone point me in the right direction? I feel like I'm just missing one piece to the puzzle.

Thanks in advance for any help. Let me know if there is anything else needed from me.

Not strange at all. Shows Intel SpeedStep is working as designed in OS X. MSRDumper is not accurate on Haswell, use Intel Power Gadget

Hey, thanks for your help, I do like that utility better.

So, I discovered that my AICPUPM kext was all messed up, I rechecked bdmesg from the bootloader and it wasn't even loading! I checked it and the plist didn't even exist in the package! So I restored that properly and the next time I booted up, I saw my OC rate!

However, using AICPUPM Info, I'm only getting 3 p-states:

Mar 25 22:29:47 192 kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 42 ]
Mar 25 22:30:02 192 kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 16 42 ]
Mar 25 22:32:27 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 34 ]
Mar 25 22:32:27 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 16 34 ]
Mar 25 22:32:32 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 16 34 42 ]
Mar 25 23:03:45 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 34 ]
Mar 25 23:03:45 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 16 34 ]
Mar 25 23:48:40 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 34 ]
Mar 25 23:48:40 localhost kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 16 34 ]

I'll try regenerating my SSDT, but any other ideas on what could be the issue?

Anytime you make a change, reply with a new IOReg.
It is impossible to answer your questions without your system specs. Fix your profile.

I can't seem to understand whether I have set AGPM correctly, it seems to me that 'state=0' means that it is not working...
AGPM is working for both graphics systems. For monitoring, install MultiBeast/Drivers/Miscellaneous/
1. FakeSMC
2. FakeSMC Motherboard Plugins
3. Hardware Monitor Application

Hey Tsunade,

I noticed you use a bluetooth stick (Gembird BTD-MINI4). I have bought this one but it doesn't work properly. I can't set DISCOVERABLE, OFF and so on. When I try to connect to my iPhone 5 - no success.

Can you help me, pls ?

Thanks.

Rade
