ML installation issue - no working mouse

So I successfully created my Unibeast USB drive from my old ML install. I then wiped my hard drive clean, and when I go to reinstall a clean ML using my USB, the welcome/install screen shows up, and my mouse and keyboard dont work. I'm confused because prior to wiping my old ML install, and verified that the Unibeast USB was working properly, and when the install screen showed up then, my mouse worked perfectly. Any help/suggestions?

I've got a P55M-UD2 mobo and a GTS 450 graphics card.

Are your mouse and keyboard wired or wireless? It may not see a wireless keyboard or mouse at this stage.

Both my mouse and my keyboard are USB, and are both in USB 2 slots.

I had the same issue, I have solved by moving keyboard and mouse in other slots.. you can do it on the flight as you are trying to use them. It worked fine for me.
