Microphone on Bluetooth Headset doesn't work

I'm on the same boat. I've bought an Asus BT400 and I can receive the audio without a problem but the mic does not work. I've blindly install the kexts proposed by @nuriluis but I can't make it work.

I can see the kexts are loaded:

Code:
» kextstat | grep Brcm
   82 1 0xffffff7f83600000 0x5000 0x5000 com.no-one.BrcmFirmwareStore (2.2.10) 5DD4CFA3-AB5A-3AB4-BBA2-8ACE9BCD72D8 <5 4 3>
   83 0 0xffffff7f8362c000 0x6000 0x6000 com.no-one.BrcmPatchRAM2 (2.2.10) EA8FADAF-E7F3-3CDF-8440-49C15C0E25F8 <82 22 5 4 3 1>

But the mic problem persists. Any other idea? @nuriluis could you give more details on did you fix this?

Getting back to the thread since I got this working. Simple by connecting the Bluetooth dongle into the motherboard USB directly, it was previously connected to the case USB. I've no idea why this happens, but to be honest as long as it works I don't mind to have it this way.

And here again as it happens that it doesn't work all the time. Is there any way to debug this problem?

EDIT: This is what I get on system information panel:

Has anything come of this? I haven't had any luck getting the microphone on airpods to work. Music works great but no luck on the microphone despite having tried everything here. IOGear BT 4.0 dongle connected directly to back of MB but with a USB extension cable to reach a good spot to pick up my devices. I've tried multiple ports, kexts, etc and all give the same results. Music connects fine, magic mouse magic keyboard connect fine just no mic from airpods.

Only one resolved my problem - buying original apple module wi-fi + bt
