I am looking at Corsair Vengeane LPX memory (CMK64GX4M2D3600C18) and wonder about its specs. It is sold as being able to run @ 3600MHz 18-22-22-42, 1.35V. However the SPD related spec say 2133 15-15-15-36, 1.2V (PC4-28800) @ XMP2.0. Do you need to have XMP enabled/active in order to run at 3600MHz? What is the difference with those SPD specs?

You should be able to manually clock it to the advertised speed of 3600MHz. My system crashes when I have XMP enabled so I clock my memory manually. Your memory base speed is 2133MHz the theoretical speed 3600MHz. basically, your memory is overclocked when ran at anything past 2133MHz.
