Hi,

I started my hackintosh today and i get a "memory allocation error, deadbeat blabla.." error, during boot, before chimera comes in.

Can someone please tell me what this means ?

Ok, so this was going on:

History:
I had a SSD (CorsairForce 240GB) in my HT which was formatted NTFS. (was used under Windows).
So then i wanted to format the disk to extended journaled within Disk Utility.
But Diskutiliy hang on unmounting the drive.
Had to force quit Disk Utility.
Next time i boot HT, i got the memory allocation error.

So i was thinking: maybe the NTFS SSD is the problem, so i disconnected it.
Restart again and..problem gone !

So then i removed that SSD and put it in a external case, which i connected through usb to my HT.

Mountain Lion gave me a message that the disk wasn't readable and should be initialised.
So i hit" initialise" , Disk Utility starts up and i choose ERASE (format:extended journaled)

But then i get a message that erase coulnd't be done, cause "could not write last block"

Maybe my SSD drive died ?
Any solutions ?

Thx in advance !

Your SSD may have died but I would personally try to format the SSD, with the SSD only installed inside the machine. and use Unibeast and boot into the installer and use the disk utility there.

If it doesn't work, try formatting it in windows; as NTFS again. and check the health of the drive using a program such as Hard Disk Sentinel.
