I just upgraded my Nvidia Card to a PNY GTX 1070 and while performance in sierra is better than the GTX 670 it replaces, it's not what I expected. I'm consistently getting between 48-70 fps across 4 different benchmarks.

I'm running the latest Nvidia webdrivers and the usually Lilu/NvidiaGraphicsFixup Ktext fixes. I also triple checked my config file, but I don't know what else I'm missing? Any thoughts?

I attached my config.plist.

Thanks
Try this config :
Thanks for your reply. I tried the config, but the result is the same. Maybe I'm wasting my money trying to run GTX 1070 in sierra. I think I might go back to the GTX 670 and wait for solid reports on the Radeon AMD vega.

Not so, many people have been successful.

Checklist :
BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Boot with nv_disable=1
May need to update Clover
Install web drivers
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Config.plist - Disable SIP fully - CsrActiveConfig 0x67
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
May need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6
Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
May need to install Lilu.kext , LiluFriend and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext to /Library/Extensions

Potential Problems :
HDMI 2.0 is not supported - Use HDMI 1.4 (or lower)
If your graphics card has more than one output of the type that you are using then try another one.
Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition

I saw this in other threads you commented in, so I already tried all them, except your bios suggestions since my motherboard doesn't have integrated graphics or an option to set PEG. No change. However.....

It got me thinking and I decided to reset the bios and re-enter all the settings that worked in previous OS builds.... then boom performance came back! I still get the occasional weird video glitch when playbacking in premier, but 100x better.
