Hi!

I spent several days trying to make this wireless USB dongle working at Sierra, so now I could, I would like to share with you.
The files I used are just below. It is necessary to install the RT2870 Kext and the wifi utility.

Thanx a lot since i received the dongle alone without any software from AliExpress... I really hope it will perform more reliably than my previous EDIMAX-7811UN...

BUT Please let me know HOW to make the new dongle working since the Wireless Utility is far to complicated to setup properly...
I have first installed the Kext with Pandora
I also uninstalled the previous EDIMAX wireless utility
Then installed Mediatek Wireless utility...
The small EDIMAX icon is still on the upper right side of the screen...?
After just removing the KEBIDU dongle and re fitting the EDIMAX instantly i can log on the internet...???
BUT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE THE KEBIDU 150 INSTEAD...

Hey vfioravante,
Good your wifi usb works, I just need a cheap wifi to work so I bought another brand,
My TL-WN722Nv2 can work but got two issues:
it can only link to invisible SSID hotspots, not visible free hotspots because it cannot see any ... that's so strange) and I won't be able to use any of the "wifi-explorer" type apps:
https://itunes.apple.com/tw/app/wifi-explorer-lite/id1408727408?mt=12

Can you confirm my issues doesn't exist on your Edimax EW-7822UAn 300Mbps?
Wanna check if it's my device's issue or this model.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Sorry for the delay.
I bought a TP-LINK PCIe card at the end.
The chinese one become incompatible after a os upgrade.
Recommend to all to do the same.

Have a solution to work with Catalina (10.15)?

My WIFI AC dongle performs like a charm on Catalina!
The Os upgrades went easy from High Sierra to Mojave and then to Catalina.

Is the same model mentioned (RT2870)? Could you help me make it work?

Just follow tuto on Github!
