Solved: MB 5.1.2 fails to complete installation after 10.8.2 combo update

Edit: I needed to delete OemSMBIOS.text from S/L/E after the Combo update and before rebooting.
Afterwards, I only selected ALC889 (with DSDT) in MB and everything seems to working just fine.
---------------------------------------------------------

I ran 10.8.2 combo on my 10.8.1 (GA Z68MX-UDH2-B3, HD3000) Hack, but MB 5.1.2 fails with these message in the log file. It does not seem to matter what options I select. Any thoughts? This is the first time I have seen MB fail installation.

You did not include the most important part of the log, the content between these two lines:

Oct 18 00:38:26 MacPro.local installd[548]: PackageKit: ----- Begin install -----
Oct 18 00:38:36 MacPro.local installd[548]: PackageKit: Install Failed: Error Domain=PKInstallErrorDomain Code=121 "An error occurred while updating system extension

Without that no one can help.

Hi MacMan---Thanks for your prompt response. I have seen the same response you gave to someone else on this forum. I did not edit anything out; I am looking for help and certainly would not "hide" anything that would inhibit that. I selected all text in the log file and pasted it into the post. Could it be that MB fails to write that section?

Hi MacMan---sorry. I just realized that I can select the kind of info to show in the log. I attached the complete log. Thanks for your help.

Edit: I can verify that a clean install of 10.8.2 with Unibeast 1.5.3 followed by MB 5.1.2 for this system worked perfectly.
