Hi,
Ran fairly typical unibeast & multibeast install on the Dell 220s vostro, works fine, but when
I replace the 2ghz C2d with an E5450 Quad Harpertown OS X won't boot anymore - screemshot below.

The E5450 is modded as per http://www.delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/ and with that chip
on board Windows 7 runs fine, no problems.

System definition is set to Mac Pro 3,1 which is when Apple started using the Harpertown quads.
However, Apple used the 1600mhz FSB Harpertowns and this the 1333mhz (max FSB of the Dell motherboard) if that is relevant.

Have tried many bootflags.

I would appreciate any help, or suggestions.

I think it's too late reply for you, I hope you can still read this thread or already succeeded. I researched about relation of the LGA771 and OSX. I think you need to add a karnel options "PCIrootUID=1 npci=0x2000". If you have no succeeded, delite PCIrootUID=1 or npci=0x2000. Try this combination, Keep set a verbose mode and check a command prompt this time.

I succeeded Mavericks 10.9.2 Vostro 220s with X5450 / X5365 before.Works no issue but I sold it... And succeed Inspiron 545 / X5470, Vostro 200 / X5270, Vostro 400 / X5470, Studio 540 / X5470, ALL WORKS Have a nice hack with your DELL:headbang:
