Obviously not a hardware problem. What could have been installed incorrectly?

So you are saying there is no fix? No troubleshooting? It just works or it does not? Is this the improper place to post this, should i start a new thread?

Problem: poor sound quality after upgrade to 10.9.3 and use Multibeast 6.3. hear noises when play music :roll2: specially bass sounds
OS X version: 10.9.3
Motherboard: Gigabyte H77-DS3H
Procedure: kext injection with multibeast 6.3

How did you determine that?

Front panel audio works as it should in windows, upon insertion of headphone cable the control panel instantly sees that headphones are attached and changes the output.

Front panel audio only has HDA cable, no AC97 at all.

I really hope i'm overlooking something simple, but i just don't see it.

Pinconfigs are wrong. Likely, an audio support kext installed in Extra/Extensions or S/L/E; find and remove.

THANK YOU!

ALC8xxHDA.kext was in Extra/Extensions from Jan 2011. I seriously have never tried using the front panel until this past week. Somewhere in the last 3 and a half years that kext got in there. I always use multibeast so i have always assumed everything was in its right place.
