Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Can I delete the AppleIntelCPUPowermanagementInfo.kext? Detecting those states costs about 2 Minutes during boot, and I don't have so much time.

Edit: Also, when I watch HWMonitor, i can only see the states jumping from x8 to x34 and back, I have never seen anything in between, whereas before I patched, i could see steps like x16 or x20...
Not likely, sure.
See Post #1, second paragraph; your decision.

Toleda your are the machine came our planet from the future... Thank you.

Hi all,

When I read that discrete graphics not considered, what does it mean? for example, I am on Ivy Bridge with HD4000 disabled, and using GTX670. What should I do?

Thanks!

I followed the guide and everything seems to work perfectly according to the Intel Power Widget, but AppleIntelCPUPowermanagementInfo.kext created a lot of other problems. I kept getting kernel panics and had to uninstall it, but for some reason, when I boot with kernel cache the system hangs, then gives a kernel panic. This doesn't happen all the time, about 50% - so I have no idea what is going on. I will try a reinstall of mavericks but any other advice would be appreciated.

Hi Toleda,

I'm reporting the second time from my second machine:

This one uses a Gigabyte B85M-DS3H | BIOS F1 | i3-4330 | No external graphics

I used your guide (installed Software, rebooted [which didn't take 2 mins here]), modified boot.plist, installed SSDT, rebooted

This time it clearly went from working to non working, see both pictures. (and after-AIC) for P/C-States log

I don't feel happy about it :(

TIA

What is AIC?
Confirmed: X86PlatformPlugin CPU PM is not working. AppleLPC is not loading. May be another problem.
Unexplainable: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlug may be working. AppleLPC and SBUS/BUS0 not loading, usually disables PM.

Any PM messages in Console with and without ssdt?

Suggestion: fix LPCB@1F/AppleLPC, edit Info.plist or add dsdt injection.
