Hi I am going through the Mavericks: No Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide] guide and in section
I. No Output Devices Found
Sub section 2 it states "

  1. System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext version
    1. AppleHDA.kext can be the same as or earlier than the installed OS X version
    2. AppleHDA.kext does not work if newer than the installed OS X version
    3. Verify AppleHDA.kext version and codec name
      1. ALC885
      2. ALC887
      3. ALC888
      4. ALC889
      5. ALC892
      6. ALC898
      7. ALC1150"

So how do i verify the "Verify AppleHDA.kext version and codec name"?

because if i do the get info method as suggested i get the attachment.
and I have also attached screens shots of the multi beast setup and the issue that i man having is that no audio output device listed hence no audio.

I have also run the DPCI manager and attached the screen shot of that output.

I have also run IOjones and have HDEF@1B and HDEF@3 and both Layout IDs are the same as in the screen shot attached.

my setup is B85M-HD3 motherboard with i3 CPU and making use of board graphics and audio.

I read the guide further and finally came to a conclusion that I have an AMI-EFI board, which isn't supported. Any chance I can still upload my DSDT for you to help with the few errors when compiling?

The guide noted. It includes Nvidia HDMI audio

No specs, no idea.

Hi toleda
Here is the specs and the guide i followed.

I have followed the Guide (1a. [Guide]- HD3000-hdmi_audio_dsdt_edits_v1.1.pdf.zip)to get the HDMI Audio working but with no luck and there are some errors Compiling DSDT.

Can you help me fixing it.

HDMI Audio and Sleep Wake not working.

extracted the dsdt and applied the patches in order and have them in the attached zip file.

Audio working but with no luck and there are some errors Compiling DSDT.
The edited dsdt was not installed when the attached IOReg was made.

There are no dsdt errors
Not sure what happened, AMI-EFI/Clean Compile is not needed and was applied twice.
The only patch required is AMI-BIOS_AMD-Nvidia-6_series.
0 Errors, 6 Warnings, 0 Remarks, 231 Optimizations.

Start over with System DSDT untouched.dsl.

Hi Toleda

Thanks for reply , I started from the clean DSDT , and with out applying any patches , i get lot of these errors .
Then Applied this patch from github "https://github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_uefi/blob/master/Patches/UEFI-Clean_Compile/ib1-ami_efi_clean_compile.txt"
And there are some warning.

and i don't see this patch " AMI-BIOS_AMD-Nvidia-6_series" in the MaciSAL , I have the repo in the preferences.
