Hi everyone,
I have had Mavericks running perfectly for a long, but I wanted to install install Windows 8 (W8) on a separate SSD; ( I had W8 and Mavericks on the same SSD running perfectly).
So I just installed W8 on a separate drive; however, Mavericks fails to start now.

This is what happens:
•When I boot, it goes directly to W8; even though, mavericks is set on BIOS.
•When I use the iBoot Ivy Bridge CD and boot from boot screen to select Mavericks; it gives me the following error: (cpu A caller 0x55f8id); "Unable to find driver for this platform.

It asks me to restart computer.

If anyone know how to solve this issue, I would truly appreciate any insight you might have.

Thank you.

Did you disconnect the original drive before installing Win8 to the other one? Which ports are the drives connected to?

Thanks for the response.

I did not disconnect the drive where Mavericks is installed.
The drives are connected to the Sata Ports on the motherboard? Not sure if I answer your question.
